Patti Saraniero, Ed.D.
Patti Saraniero provides program evaluation and consulting services to schools and arts organizations. Her research interests include teaching artists, arts education with special populations, particularly English language learners; artists as agents of social change in communities; and, organizational behavior in arts organizations. Previously, Patti has been the education director at La Jolla Playhouse and the Old Globe Theatre, developing and leading innovative theatre programs for the greater San Diego community. She worked as a stage manager for a number of regional and off-Broadway theatres, including Yale Rep, Dallas Theater Center, Primary Stages, New York Stage and Film, The Juilliard School, and Dallas Children’s Theater.
In addition to her consulting work, Patti is currently a lecturer at the University of San Diego and the University of California San Diego. Patti holds a doctorate from the University of San Diego, a master’s degree from San Diego State University in child development and has done graduate work in drama at the Yale University School of Drama.
